Open To: Entry is open to any athlete from any nation regardless of their world ranking

Age Criteria: 39 and over (athletes who turn 40 in 2017 are eligible for Master category)

Entry Fee: $140NZD (includes a minimum of 4 training sessions)

Prize Money: There is NO allocation of prize money for the WWXL BOATRX Master category.

Entry Restrictions: Entering this category makes you ineligible to win any other WWXL BOATRX category.

All competitors must complete an Event Entry and Disclaimer Form prior to the commencement of the competition. If you are under 18 years of age, you are required to have a parent or legal guardian to complete your form.

*To be eligible for prize money in WWXL BOATRX you must compete in both races of WWXL BOATRX event.

 

BOAT RULES

Equipment
 - Only mass-produced creeker/ whitewater kayaks that meet the following criteria and latest safety standards are permitted:

  • boats with a maximum length of 275 cm (9 feet)
  • made of PE plastic
  • with a minimum weight of 18kg (complete)
  • from serial production and purchasable on the market
  • with no constructional changes, apart from those offered and sold by the manufacturer and provided that these changes do not impact the safety standards

Handles - full plate footrest and pillars must not be removed!

Yakima type touring footrests are not permitted.

The race organiSers reserve the right to refuse admission to certain kayaks, e.g. Liquid Logic Braap Eskimo Kendo, Dagger GTX, GT etc.


INSURANCE

All athletes are covered by New Zealand’s public insurance company – Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) – for treatment for injuries sustained while in New Zealand. Details at http://www.acc.co.nz.

Note: ACC does not cover treatment if an injured person leaves New Zealand and therefore is not a replacement for an individual’s travel insurance.

As a condition of my participation in WWXL, I hereby unconditionally and irrevocably consent, authorise and grant Environmental White Water Park Trust (EWWPT), the event organisers of each event, and their respective affiliates, sponsors, promoters, advertisers, broadcasters, webcasters, contractors, agents, representatives, licensees and assigns (together, the “Releasees”) all the necessary authority, right and license and permission to use photographs, audio or video recordings, or other forms of recordings that capture my image, likeness, voice or performance (or all of these) (collectively hereinafter referred to as “images”), in which I may be included in whole or in part, in any manner or media, including print, broadcast, internet media, direct marketing channels, downloadable content and applications, and all other technologies now known or hereafter developed. The images may be used or exploited for any commercial or non-commercial purpose whatsoever, and may be altered, modified, changed, combined or incorporated into other works I hereby relinquish any rights I may have in the images (including privacy, personality and publicity rights. In no event shall I seek or be entitled to injunctive or other equitable relief in connection with the use of the images. No fees or other compensation whatsoever will be provided to me for or in connection with the use of the images. I hereby release the Releasees from any and all claims which I may now or in the future have relating to the ownership, reproductions, display, distribution or other use of the images.
